This position is primarily responsible for generating residential mortgage loans through solicitation of individual borrowers, real estate agents, builders, and developers. The candidate will be responsible for evaluating, authorizing, and recommending approval of real estate loans including residential purchase, refinance, construction, and lot loans. This individual will guide borrowers through the mortgage application process, assess their financial background, and match them with suitable mortgage products that meet their needs.


Essential Functions:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, builders, and other referral sources.
  • Assist clients in completing loan applications, gathering necessary documentation, and understanding loan options.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness and financial profiles of applicants.
  • Stay current with loan products, underwriting guidelines, and regulations.
  • Submit completed loan packages to underwriting for review and approval.
  • Monitor the loan process and communicate with clients, realtors, and processors to ensure timely closings.
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Meet and exceed production goals and targets set by self and management.
  • Comply with all regulations, bank policies, and procedures and actively work with compliance and quality control staff along with peers and bank personnel.
  • Attend all required meetings and bank sponsored events.
  • Maintain current knowledge on mortgage products, underwriting guidelines, and industry regulations including but not limited to conventional, FHA, VA, Rural Development, and Idaho Housing and Finance Association first time homebuyer programs. Particular attention and focus should be on serving the low-to-moderate (LMI) in CCB’s general markets.
  • Look for cross-selling opportunities such as deposits, consumer loans, commercial accounts, and e-banking.


Additional Responsibilities:


  • Participate in Community Service and Bank-sponsored activities that serve and support the mission and values of CCB.
  • Provide superior internal and external customer service: must demonstrate self-governance, courtesy, and respect toward external customers as well as internal customers (all organization personnel).
  • Must comply with all company policies and procedures and all applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control.
  • Must complete the assigned online training courses and achieve a passing score by due date.
  • Represent in a professional manner which includes a professional image, confidentiality, a positive attitude, good attendance, punctuality, flexibility and adaptability in meeting bank and customer needs.
  • Regular and predictable attendance to accomplish assigned job duties.
  • Additional duties as requested or assigned.


About You


Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field (preferred).
  • Three or more years of sales experience. (preferred)
  • Previous experience in residential mortgage lending. (preferred)
  • Basic knowledge of lending and credit procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and customer service skills.
  • Good knowledge of real estate compliance.
  • NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System) license required or the ability to obtain one.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.

Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation.

Salary is dependent upon relevant experience.
