Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Administrative Assistant to join our team in a dynamic office environment. Duties
- Manage patient scheduling and appointments using AdvancedMD and other medical scheduling systems.
- Serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service and addressing inquiries professionally.
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of patient records, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant with HIPAA standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence to support the medical team effectively.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers to facilitate communication regarding patient care and appointments.
- Support billing processes by verifying insurance information and assisting with claims submissions as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized front office environment to enhance patient experience.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a medical office setting or as a medical receptionist is preferred.
- Familiarity with dental terminology and medical administrative support practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.
- Proficiency in using medical scheduling systems, particularly eClinicalWorks, is highly desirable.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to type accurately at a reasonable speed for data entry tasks.
