Description

OVERVIEW:

Under limited supervision and direction, the Maintenance Technician I/ White Glove Home Inspector is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on buildings on Glacier premises.  Other duties include inspecting private residential homes to identify any potential issues. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  Maintenance Technician:

  • Performs repairs or general maintenance work of facilities, buildings, and equipment at various sites including minor electrical, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, drywall, painting, etc.
  • Able to diagnose plumbing issues to repair leaks, clogged lines, drains, etc.
  • Able to diagnose electrical issues to repair wiring, outlets, lights, circuit breakers, and simple repair of appliances.
  • Perform minor repairs, troubleshooting, and adjustment of locks on cabinets, locks, closets, desks. Minor door/hardware repairs.
  • General maintenance, repair, changing filters on HVAC units.
  • Service kitchen, appliances, and emergency equipment, reporting mechanical malfunctions as required for action.
  • Activating and deactivating building alarms and responding to alarm calls after and during regular work hours.
  • General Maintenance of pools and hot tubs.
  • Complete daily, weekly, and monthly checklists as required.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of all equipment; schedule for repair and/or replacement of used and damaged equipment.
  • Follow all company safety and security procedures.
  • Report on any maintenance issues or safety hazards.
  • Observe and report property damage of Glacier members.
  • Understand and comply with all Glacier Club rules and regulations.
  • Promote a positive image of Glacier to all customers.

White-Glove Home Inspector:

  • Perform general inspections of private residential homes to identify possible issues, abnormalities, or mechanical concerns.  Areas of general inspection will cover mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, security, appliance, doors and windows, and general exterior elements.
  • Moving and assisting in transportation of furniture and equipment
  • Assist in the delivery of shipping packages throughout property.
  • A background check is required.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A thorough knowledge of general maintenance procedures along with a skill set that includes basic proficiencies in some or all the following: plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems. 
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in using power and hand tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Ability to perform and manage technically complex projects using independent judgment and personal initiative.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, customer focus, integrity, honesty, and teamwork are all required.
  • Aptitude for organizing tasks, managing time and prioritizing projects.
  • Exhibit sound judgment, tact, courtesy on a daily basis, and have excellent rapport with staff members.
  • Problem solving aptitude.
  • Excellent time management and task tracking skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Able to read, write, and speak the English language with sufficient fluency to be able to follow oral instructions, read and comprehend equipment operating instructions.
  • Develop and maintain cooperative working relationships; demonstrate sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse population.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A minimum of one-year proven experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
  • CPO Certification is preferred.
