We are a full service structural/mechanical/electrical engineering firm located near Pittsburgh, PA (main office) with a satellite office in Alexandria, MN and an Oil and Gas Division located in Richmond, OH. We have a long standing history of providing turn-key engineered solutions for our customers located across the United States, primarily in the bulk material handling industry.
We are currently expanding our Pittsburgh workforce and are looking for qualified candidates in the mechanical and structural drafting field.
Job Description And Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of related experience
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Inventor software.
- Experience with the drafting of mechanical components such as drive bases, shafts, bearings, springs, chains, belt drives, gears for heavy bulk material handling or similar type equipment with minimal supervision.
- Experience with structural steel framing, general arrangement drawings, and steel shop details.
- Experience with checking of both mechanical and structural drawings prior to issue.
- Experience with foundation layout and detailing is a plus.
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills.
- Willing to travel (approximately 5%) for onsite job discussions, inspections, and field measuring.

Responsibilities
- Create detailed mechanical drawings and schematics using AutoCAD and other CAD software.
- Collaborate with engineers to develop system designs and mechanical components.
- Ensure compliance with ASME codes and standards in all drafting tasks.
- Review and revise designs based on feedback and project requirements.
- Maintain organized documentation and communicate progress with team members effectively.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for project tracking and reporting.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
