The Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Glanbia as a Warehouse Team Leader and play a crucial role in ensuring our warehouse operations run smoothly and efficiently. If you are passionate about logistics, quality assurance, and leading a team to success, this is the perfect opportunity for you! This permanent, full-time position will report to the Warehouse Manager and is fully onsite. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Operational Excellence: Manage day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to Glanbia's non-negotiable standards.- Coordination & Communication: Allocate and coordinate product movement with logistics, QA, production, and other warehouses. Communicate effectively with sales, customer service, plant operations, and management to meet customer needs.
- Training & Development: Provide training to staff, ensuring they are well-equipped to perform their roles. Assist in the hiring process and oversee training for new team members.
- Safety & Quality: Conduct bi-weekly safety and quality meetings, ensuring the warehouse is always audit-ready and compliant with GMP standards.
- Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and repair warehouse equipment, address inventory discrepancies, and drive to the root cause of any issues.
- Performance Management: Perform biannual PDP processes, provide regular feedback, and handle disciplinary and attendance matters.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Education & Experience: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating a forklift, SAP program, and troubleshooting warehouse equipment.
- Leadership & Communication: Ability to write reports, present information effectively, and lead by example.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Understanding of OSHA, USDA, HACCP, and other safety policies and practices.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills to solve practical problems and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Physical & Environmental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Manual dexterity and physical stamina to perform moderate physical activities.
- Exposure to noise, humidity, heat, and mechanical moving parts.
