The Opportunity
This role will be responsible for the integrity of the GN financial processes and financial information for Premix Americas. This will include the management of the month-end close cycle. Emphasis is on providing timely, relevant and accurate information in a dynamic environment, where accurate information is a key competitive advantage and essential in supporting operational and strategic decision-making. The role will also be responsible for the Premix Americas Balance Sheet, ensuring all Balance Sheet accounts are fully reconciled and the control environment is appropriate and robust to support the financial records. This will include leading the liaison with both internal and external auditors. This permanent position will report to the Senior Director of Finance.

Compensation for roles at Glanbia varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. Glanbia provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in IL. This range may not be applicable to other locations. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role. The typical candidate is hired below midpoint of the range. The annual salary for IL based employees for this role is $90,000- $120,000 with an annual bonus.

- Lead the day to day running of the accounting and control function for Premix Americas’ Business Unit.
- Oversee the month end close process for GNNA, GMEX & GNBR Company codes with associated reporting and controls.
- Ensure compliance with Glanbia accounting policies, including internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Manage financial risk, cash flow, and working capital to maintain the company’s financial health.
- Provide financial forecasts, variance analysis, and performance reports to senior management.
- Lead the consolidation of the annual budgeting process in collaboration with other Finance Teams.
- Monitor actual performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and proposing corrective actions.
- Establish, implement, and monitor internal control policies and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Manage audits (internal and external) and liaise with auditors to address queries.
- Lead and mentor the accounting and control team, fostering professional growth.
- Allocate tasks, set objectives, and conduct performance evaluations for team members.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement system enhancements to increase efficiency.
- Ensure proper use and integration of SAP.
- Professional Accounting qualification
- Ideal candidate will have 3 - 5 years finance experience gained in a variety of finance environments including significant financial planning and analysis experience in a CPG/FMCG environment
- IFRS knowledge is essential
- Strong financial acumen including strong technical accounting skills. Must possess a broad business perspective and have a ‘hands-on’ and in-depth understanding of the GN financials
- Strong leadership and influencing skills
- Ability to work in a cross functional matrix organization
- Hands on experience of using and operating SAP systems (preferably with knowledge of BCS) and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
- Has proven ability to establish clear directions and mobilizes resources (people, funding, technology, materials, support) to get things done in an effective and efficient manner
- Action oriented and steadfastly pushes self and others for results. Is very bottom line oriented and can be counted on to consistently exceed goals
- Can employ a wide range of influencing styles to engage others in problem-solving and decision-making

- Can drive an optimized financial and business planning process across the business to ensure rigorous evaluation of investments and value creating opportunities
- Business analysis and modeling – Proven track record in using knowledge of finance analysis and modeling to provide realistic and relevant reports to support the business decision making process
- Can accurately identify and mitigate key commercial and business risks
- Can leverages IT technologies and systems to drive and improve business performance
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- SAP knowledge preferred
- Excellent skills in Microsoft packages
