This role involves developing leadership that fosters a zero-loss work culture, ensuring product safety and quality, and aligning activities with company policies, goals, and objectives. This permanent, full-time position will report to the Sr Director of Site Operations and is fully onsite. Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
- Lead and inspire plant employees to achieve a zero-loss work culture, ensuring safety and product quality.
- Manage all aspects of plant operations, including budget, output, and continuous improvement.
- Meet production goals related to yield, quality, and customer specifications.
- Minimize losses within the cheese plant through strategic management of resources.
- Ensure safety and environmental compliance in day-to-day operations.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and concerns.
- Organize and develop Production Managers and Team Leaders.
- Uphold the culture of zero losses and compliance with all safety and food safety regulations.
The Skills you will bring to the team
- Bachelor's degree or a minimum of five years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including email, record keeping, and various software applications.
- Understanding of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and delegate effectively.
- Commitment to safety and proactive team efforts to achieve company goals.
