Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our team in Richfield, Idaho. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing budgets, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. You will also provide analytical support to management and contribute to business strategy development.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities of this position include reconciling production daily, weekly, and monthly, calculating and issuing ingredients, packaging, cleaner, and miscellaneous usage daily/weekly, preparing weekly production reports, reviewing work and assessing for reasonableness; identifying and reporting on significant variances, validating physical plant inventories against SAP weekly, entering requisitions, receiving material and managing LIV, GRIR, and Open POs, supporting front desk as needed, organizing electronic and physical files, and assisting in weekly and monthly departmental and plant reporting.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have an Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a minimum of one year related experience and/or training. You should also possess excellent communication and organizational skills, ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, speak effectively before groups, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, compute rate, ratio, and percent, draw and interpret bar graphs, solve practical problems, interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form, prioritize tasks, handle multiple projects simultaneously, and be proficient in personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, routing database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.
