Position Overview :
The Flat Glass Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the precise installation of residential and commercial flat glass, including windows, mirrors, shower doors, storefronts, and more. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute to business growth by identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Precisely measure and install glass, mirrors, doors, custom shower surrounds, and window hardware (including balances) for both new and replacement projects.
- Ensure the efficient use of materials and maintain a well-stocked service vehicle with all necessary tools and marketing collateral.
- Maintain company vehicles and equipment to ensure they are serviced, clean, and in good working condition.
- Communicate with team members throughout the day to ensure high levels of customer service and coordination of efforts.
- Support sales efforts by recommending additional products and services to customers.
- Apply field measuring techniques and accurately cut glass and mirrors to specified dimensions.
- Complete required forms using tablet and customer relationship management software (Service Titan or similar), including measures, estimates, and job tracking.
- Conduct site survey during initial customer visit to assess business efficacy of each job.
- Take on other responsibilities as needed, including cross-training in related roles.
