Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Glass Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and installation, with a focus on glass products. This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship. The Glass Installer will be responsible for installing various types of glass in residential and commercial settings, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards.

As a Shower Glass Technician at Glass Doctor, you will be helping our residential customers create the showers of their dreams. When a shower curtain and rod has lost its attraction, you’ll put the customer at ease, making sure their bathroom space is more than functional.

Responsibilities

• Install glass products including windows, doors, mirrors, and shower enclosures with precision and care.
• Measure and cut glass to fit specific dimensions as required for each project.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools safely and effectively during installation processes.
• Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure proper insulation and weatherproofing of installations.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters and handymen to complete projects efficiently.
• Conduct thorough inspections of installed glass to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assist in the estimation of materials needed for projects, contributing to accurate construction estimating.
• Handle heavy lifting of glass panels and other materials while adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in glass installation or related construction fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with carpentry, drywall installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, and general maintenance person skills is advantageous.
• Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools relevant to glass installation tasks.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
• A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of work.

This Job Is NOT For You If . . .

• You are okay with measurements being “close enough”. That won’t work here. Measurements need to be super accurate to a fraction of an inch so that the glass will fit the first time.
• You say things in your head like “A broken window – what’s the big deal?” To our customers, when glass breaks, it’s an emergency and safety issue. We take it as seriously as they do.
