Position Overview:
The Material Handler will perform a wide range of duties. This position requires the handling of glass and various other products related to the glass industry. We’re seeking dedicated Material Handlers to support our warehouse and production operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the flow of materials to ensure production runs smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Safely transport materials and products throughout the warehouse and production areas
- Load and unload deliveries, ensuring accuracy and proper documentation
- Assist in organizing inventory, ensuring materials are stored safely and easily accessible
- Support production teams by providing timely delivery of materials as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow all safety guidelines, operating equipment like forklifts or pallet jacks when necessary
- Assist with other general duties as required by the team
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in material handling or warehouse operations preferred.
- Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic understanding of organizational systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well in a team and independently.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift certification (preferred).
