JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director of Inventory is responsible for managing all intakes, storage and pick ups/deliveries of finished biomass from Processing and to customers. This role leads the inventory and shipping teams to optimize and continuously implement best in practice inventory procedures around receiving and issuing inventory as well as cycle count procedures.
JOB DUTIES:
- The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring all inventory transactions are properly tracked and recorded in the Company’s inventory management system
- The Inventory Manager is responsible for ensuring that all finished inventory is accurately reported and up to date
- Supervise warehouse team (Inventory and Shipping) to ensure all outgoing sales orders and internal transfers of inventory are prepared, properly entered in ERP system, and follow all CA regulations prior to pick-up. Evaluate deliveries, shipments and product levels to improve inventory control procedures.
- Manage inventory team for incoming product deliveries and coordinate with logistics department for accurate arrival and departure times
- Confirm product quality and report defects and damages for all incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Coordinate with Processing department to minimize the occurrence of these instances.
- Provide capacity and aged inventory reports to Sales Department
- Oversee cycle counts on all finished inventory and make necessary adjustments while following regulatory guidelines.
- Manage, Investigate, and confirm month end reconciliations.
- Conduct inventory analysis to determine root cause of large discrepancies. Manage and maintain accurate log of inventory adjustments.
- Abide by all company safety and hygiene regulations
- Manage the optimization and organization of Inventory and shipping space and procedures
- Schedule compliance events for finished batches
- Work closely with processing manager to understand production scheduling and upcoming batch completions.
- Determine staffing requirements for inventory team. Train and manage team of inventory control staff. Ensure that inventory control staff understands and follows all regulations.
- Develop and report on all inventory KPIs to upper management.
- Accurately maintain records for both financial and compliance purposes
- Interacts & communicates with all levels within the company to achieve goals and resolve issues
- Work closely with Supply chain to minimize stock outs of materials and supplies.
- Provide Sales team with inventory updates and oversee that live menu for wholesale buyers is maintained.
- Coordinate with Processing team identify inventory that is suitable for consumer-packaged goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned

SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 21 years old
- Attention to detail

- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
MENTAL/ PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to exert up to 15-25 pounds occasionally in order to lift and move product
- Ability to balance, reach grasp while climbing on a step stool and/ or ladder
- Ability to crouch, grasp and lift product above shoulders in order to lift product from the floor properly
- Ability to be on feet while performing job responsibilities
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
- Strong Excel skills necessary (Pivot Tables, Vlookups)
- Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Excellent written, verbal and organizational skills
