What are the responsibilities and job description for the SCHOOL AGE AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM - Looking for GROUP LEADERS! position at Glassboro Child Development Centers?
GCDC is looking for Experienced Group Leaders for our school age programs!
Position hours are Monday through Friday from 2-6PM, a total of 20 hours weekly.
POTENTIAL EARNINGS up to $400/week!
*AM shifts may be available, depending on need and location. *
Job Summary: Responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating appropriate curriculum and activities for each assigned group, maintenance of classroom and program space, support of social/emotional/language/physical development of each child.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Three years’ experience working with children
- Education/Certification: Prefer CDA/AA/60 credits; CPR/First Aid required
- Knowledge/Training: Knowledge of principles and practices; resources used in planning and assessing activities
- Physical/Health: Must be in good physical and mental health
- Professional Development: Must complete minimum 20 hours of relevant annual training each year
- Work Hours/Environment: School district or private classroom, 20-40 hours per week and must be available for evening and weekend hours required to complete agency activities as assigned
- Relationships: children, team members, site director, school district personnel, GCDC administration and Board, parents/family members, agency partners and the greater community
DAILY DUTIES
- Greet each child and family and communicate information/concerns to family members as needed
- Promote the health and safety of everyone in the program
- Provide active supervision of all program/classroom indoor and outdoor activities
- Conduct and record observations of all children
- Model and coach Assistant Teachers/Leaders and volunteers assigned to classroom
- Assist with bathroom and personal care routines as needed.
OTHER DUTIES
- Complete professional development in: curriculum, assessment, infant/early childhood mental health, environment rating scale, quality standards, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and all other required training
- Conduct parent conferences
- Participate in reflective supervision
- Assist with cleaning and storage of program/materials
- Attend staff meetings and other agency events

Salary: $20.65/hour
