Job Description/Visitation Facilitator
Glasshouse Visitation & Nurturing Center is an agency that only services Supervised Visits. The Visitation Facilitator is responsible for supervising court ordered parenting time. The Visitation Facilitator will protect the integrity of the parenting time by providing a positive atmosphere where parents and children may connect and interact in the community, client homes or in the agency, creating a safe, structured environment.
Responsibilities
- Schedule visits.
- Create goals for each family and assist in achieving their goals.
- Provide transportation for children/clients as needed.
- Monitor all interactions between the visiting family and will assist the family by strengthening, teaching, demonstrating, and role modeling appropriate skills.
- Accurately complete all required documentation by midnight, the same day of the visit.
- A monthly report for each assigned case must be completed by the last day of each month.
- Keep current and accurate information in the client files.
- Attending team meetings, court hearings, giving recommendations.
- Attend Bi-weekly supervision meetings and actively participates in the supervision process.
Required
- Have your own laptop.
- knowledge of technology and be comfortable operating apps on phones, mobile tablets, laptops, access database, email, meetings virtually and in-person.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft WORD, Excel, and prefer experience with Case Management Pro (CMP)
- Excellent written skills required.
- Prefer knowledge with Department of Child Services Service Standards for Home/Community-based Services.
- You must be a fast learner, highly organized, DEPENDABLE, communicate well by email and ready to work!
Also Required
- Must comply with the state policy concerning minimum car insurance coverage.
- Must be able to pass all background checks.
- Attends all mandatary DCS training courses.
- Must be available to work evenings (after school hours) and weekends
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; A non-human service-related bachelor’s degree and 2 years of social service experience OR Bachelor’s in Social Work, Psychology or other Human Service Degree, Preferred.
· At least 3 years of experience providing direct service to youth, individuals, and families OR
· At least 2 years of experience in Child Welfare Service Delivery
ALSO:
· Must be at least 21 years of age
· Attain / maintain CPR and First Aid / Car Seat certifications
· Appropriate driving record and valid driver’s license, no history of repeated suspensions, and no operating under the influence charges.
