Job Overview

We are currently inviting applications for a proficient Estimator with experience in glazing and architectural glass to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in assessing project costs, formulating detailed estimates, and significantly contributing to the overall success of Glassolutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop precise and comprehensive project estimates, incorporating labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor expenses to ensure competitively priced and profitable bids.
• Ensure bids are accurate and competitive, aligning with our objectives for client satisfaction and project profitability.
• Work collaboratively with internal teams as well as architects, contractors, and clients to comprehend and align with project requirements and specifications.
• Analyze project requirements, specifications, and drawings to determine scope and client needs.
• Execute quantity takeoffs based on architectural drawings and specifications.
• Foster strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and ensure reliable material delivery.
• Create detailed and competitive bid proposals, inclusive of cost breakdowns, specifications, and schedules.
• Present estimates to clients, providing clear explanations of scope, costs, and considerations.
• Assess project risks and implement strategies to mitigate potential issues, ensuring seamless project execution.
  
  

Required Skills

• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Estimator in the glass and glazing or construction sector.
• Extensive knowledge of curtain wall systems, storefronts, windows, railings, glazing methods, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in industry-standard estimating software and tools, including Bluebeam, Procore, Partner Pak by Demichele Group, and MS Office Suite/365 Programs.
• Familiarity with manufacturers such as Kawneer, YKK, CRL, EFCO, and Wausau.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a capacity for meticulous quantity takeoffs and cost assessments.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and subcontractors.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering superior results.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects under stringent deadlines.
  
  

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3-5 years of estimating experience in the glass and glazing or construction industry.
• Relevant degree in construction management, architecture, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.

• Salary: \(74,165.00 - \)95,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience.
