POSITION:
RN School Nurse (Full-Time) Union Position
LOCATION:
Hebron Avenue Elementary School
WAGES:
$54,122 to $65,768 per year
SCHEDULE:
183 Days per year; 8:15 am – 3:45 pm
DUTIES:
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Provides emergency care for students and staff
· Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations with regard to immunizations, physical assessments, screenings, record keeping, and HIPAA and FERPA mandates
· Establish and maintain Cumulative Health Record for each student
· Oversees the administration and documentation of prescribed medication and treatments
· Establish and maintain student Individualized Health Care Plans and Emergency Action Plans
QUALIFICATIONS:
RN licensed by the State of Connecticut; CPR/AED certified; BSN preferred; One year work experience within the last five years, at a minimum, preference given to experience in school nursing, pediatrics emergency room. Experienced with electronic documentation and Google programs.
