Ophthalmic Technician
Full-time (32-40 hours)
Compensation Based On Experience
We are a well-established and fast paced 3 physician practice currently hiring for an Ophthalmic Technician. We are looking for a reliable, passionate, hard-working individual with at least 2 years of experience in an ophthalmology and/or optometry clinic. The ideal candidate should be willing and able to learn new skills, be a team player with a strong work ethic, provide clinical support to the physician and to the patients as well as give strong attention to detail. Assist with office procedures
Job Duties
Take Accurate History (Chief complaint, HPI - chronological description of present illness, Review of systems, medication history, allergies, history of surgeries, and family history)
Visual acuity
Auto Refract
Manifest refraction
Read glasses using lensometer
Check pupil reactions, ocular motility and confrontation fields
Check intraocular pressures by Goldmann Tonometry
Visual Field testing
OCT
IOL Master / Lenstar
Fundus Photos
Pachymetry
Patient Call-backs
Fill/Refill RX per doctor orders
Administer drops
Sterilize instruments
Set up for surgical procedures
Clean & Stock exam rooms
Strong computer skills
