Assist ophthalmologist/glaucoma specialist in patient care
Responsibilities include:
- Patient history-Taking medical histories, asking about symptoms, and recording information for the doctor.
- Vision screening- Performing preliminary exams, measuring visual acuity and eye pressure, and performing basic vision screening examinations.
- Treatment rooms- Preparing examination and treatment rooms, and cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic equipment
- Medications-Administering eye medications and topical treatments
- Patient education-Instructing patients about medications, tests, and procedures, and encouraging healthy habits
- Support-Assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, and supporting patients during procedures
- Records-Writing, editing, and filing patient medical records, and contributing to diagnostic discussions
- Scheduling-Coordinating patient scheduling
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
