Assist ophthalmologist/glaucoma specialist in patient care

Responsibilities include:

  • Patient history-Taking medical histories, asking about symptoms, and recording information for the doctor.
  • Vision screening- Performing preliminary exams, measuring visual acuity and eye pressure, and performing basic vision screening examinations.
  • Treatment rooms- Preparing examination and treatment rooms, and cleaning and maintaining ophthalmic equipment
  • Medications-Administering eye medications and topical treatments
  • Patient education-Instructing patients about medications, tests, and procedures, and encouraging healthy habits
  • Support-Assisting physicians during minor surgical and laser procedures, and supporting patients during procedures
  • Records-Writing, editing, and filing patient medical records, and contributing to diagnostic discussions
  • Scheduling-Coordinating patient scheduling

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
