As Associate Director, Scientific Collaborations, you will identify the opportunities and establish the partnerships that are critical for the future of vaccine development. This is a high-impact and high-visibility role that works globally and cross-functionally. This role will focus on evaluating emerging technologies, critically assessing collaborative opportunities from U.S. academic, commercial, and government agencies, helping advance GSK vaccine research and development priorities.
Key Responsibilities :
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career, these responsibilities include some of the following :
- Balance and prioritize multiple responsibilities to proactively support global Vaccine and Infectious Disease R&D portfolio through identification and assessment of new and emerging concepts, technologies, and disease targets
- Lead cross-functional matrixed teams to evaluate opportunities based on technical merit and provide distilled data and insights into project design to GSK stakeholders and senior leadership
- Establish networks across key U.S. research organizations, keeping an up-to-date mapping of Vaccine R&D research opportunities. Assist with organization of workshops and meetings to support targeted engagement
- Represent GSK at conferences to stay apprised of trends in vaccinology, emerging areas of science, and critical advances in biomedical research relevant to infectious diseases research
