What are the responsibilities and job description for the Part Time Studio Assistant position at Glazed Expressions?
Greetings potential art studio assistant! Are you a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day? Do people describe you as organized and timely instead of perpetually tardy and forgetful? As a part-time studio assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for our lovely customers. Your job will include greeting customers like they're long-lost friends, answering the phone with such grace that you could turn a telemarketer into a friend (or at least get them to stop calling), and manning the cash register without accidentally giving away the store.
You'll need to provide basic instructions without sounding like a robot, stock supplies without leaving all the good stuff in the back, and provide customer service with a level of patience that could rival that of a saint. And if you're not afraid to get your hands dirty, there might even be some kiln work involved (but we promise not to burn you out).
You will have a semi-permanent schedule, allowing for you to know more than 2 weeks in the future what your availability will be when making plans. One weekend shift is required for all employees.
