Glazzio Tiles, a leader in the tile industry is currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team in our Burlington, NJ facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the shipping and logistics operations related to Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) shipments. This role involves coordinating the timely and accurate shipment of products, ensuring compliance with regulations, and maintaining effective communication with carriers and internal teams. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of LTL shipments, including scheduling, routing, and tracking.
- Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, including bills of lading, shipping labels, and customs paperwork as needed.
- Collaborate with freight carriers to negotiate rates and ensure timely delivery of shipments.
- Monitor and analyze shipment performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement in efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Work closely with the inventory and warehouse teams to ensure accurate order fulfillment and timely shipment preparation.
- Resolve shipping issues, including delays, damages, and discrepancies, in a proactive and efficient manner.
- Maintain compliance with all shipping regulations, including hazardous materials and international shipping requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries regarding shipping status and resolving any concerns.
- Assist in the implementation of process improvements to enhance shipping operations.
- Checks work e-mail on a regular basis throughout the workday.
- Participates in and complete all required trainings and in-services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in shipping, logistics, or a related role, with a focus on LTL shipments.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and compliance.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
