Radiologic Services Specialist
The GLC Group is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Radiology Technologist to join their team at the Federal Correctional Facility, FCI Herlong. This exciting opportunity will involve working closely with medical staff to provide high-quality radiologic services to our patients.
Schedule: Monday - Friday, excluding federal holidays, 7AM - 3PM, 8 hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine radiologic procedures, utilizing advanced imaging technologies to capture high-quality images.
- Evaluate and calibrate radiographic equipment, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
- Work independently, selecting appropriate technical exposure factors and positions to optimize diagnostic quality.
- Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures to alleviate anxiety and ensure a positive experience.
- Collaborate with medical staff, coordinating patient care and communicating preliminary findings to facilitate timely treatment.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of medical protocols, staying current with the latest developments and best practices.
- Acknowledge the importance of patient-centered care, adhering to strict infection control measures and prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
- Participate in ongoing education and training, expanding your skills and expertise in radiologic technology.
Requirements and Qualifications
Candidates for this role must hold current ARRT certification and be licensed to practice radiologic technology by a State Radiologic Technology Board. At least 1 year of relevant experience as a Radiologic Technologist is preferred, along with CPR certification from the American Red Cross or American Heart Association.
This is a full-time, contract position offering a competitive hourly rate of up to $54.50 per hour.
