Gleeds is an independent global Construction consultancy, specializing in Program and Project Management, Project Controls and Strategic Advisory. We are currently looking for an experience Natural Gas Project Manager to be dedicated to one of our key clients in the Richmond area.
Role and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to):
- Represent Owner’s interest throughout project(s) and manage project risks and minimize exposure.
- Establishing project objectives, strategy, and scopes.
- Assist in qualification and selection of contractors.
- Managing communications with project stakeholders.
- Meet with program team members on a regular basis to review progress and costs.
- Estimate development and refinement.
- Through understanding of cost management practices and Cost variance reporting
- Managing multiyear projects to annualized budgets.
- Experience of schedule development, progress, and delivery milestones.
- Tracking project resource availability.
- Ensure that projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
- Review and approval of change orders.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and reports.

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
- Minimum 7 years related experience, including 3 or more years managing engineering projects in the Gas, Transmission & Distribution industry.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments. - Must have experience with the production of applicable engineering design and construction documents.
- Must be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.
- Demonstrated success in project management which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
- Must have ability to deal effectively with a wide variety of industry, government, and public contracts on project-related matters.
- Proven ability to develop business and establish relationships with clients.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Must have the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
- Previous consulting experience preferred.
- Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, civil engineering, construction management or related field.
