Middle School Activities Instructor (Part-time)

Seeking an outgoing and energetic individual to foster the concept of teamwork, creativity, empowerment, and sportsmanship; while preparing teens for future successes. Responsible for positively contributing to the quality of a variety of day-to-day activities, special events, planning and implementation of local/national programs for Middle and High School members (Ages 11-18).

Assit in the development of teen leadership and a variety of programs and opportunities such as leadership, sports, wellness, arts, education, day-to-day activities and events/trips; in support of teen engagement. May include but not limited to: Trips, Career Fairs, Teen Mania; Open Mic Night; Talent Show; Challenges/Tournament, Lip Sync /Karaoke; Dances, Movie Night; Specialty Workshops, etc.

Pay commensurate with experience.

DAYS AND HOURS REQUIRED (Schedule adjusted and Subject to change*)

• Year-Round Position M-F (hours vary based on school year / summer)
• Monday - Friday, 2:30-7:30pm, September - June (exact time may vary slightly)
• Summer: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 4:00pm / 9:00am – 5:30pm (exact time may vary)
• Summer Training Orientation Week, attendance required June 24-28 (time may vary) 7 Week Summer Program (July – August) *

Requirements:

• 18 years or older, High School Diploma, Some College or Degree preferred
• Experience working with children, Boys & Girls Club experience a plus
• Education background/concentration in Education/fitness is plus!
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems.
• Demonstrate ability in working with young people and parents.
• Must possess necessary skills to properly instruct and guide youth.
• Must be creative, resourceful and versatile

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
