Program Overview
The Glen Cove Youth Bureau - After 3 Program provides a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow after school. Our experienced staff work closely with children, parents, and community partners to deliver a range of activities and services that promote social, emotional, and academic development.
Your Role
As a Youth Service Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of our program. Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting and supervising children in an afterschool setting.
Assisting children with homework and providing academic support.
Planning and implementing fun, creative activities that promote learning and development.
Building positive relationships with children, parents, and fellow staff members.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate patience and kindness when interacting with children. Experience working with children is preferred but not required.
