Summer Youth Service Worker Positions
*** Starting in July 2025***
**MUST BE ATLEAST 18 YEARS OLD**
Summary: Provide supervision of students in the program and assist club specialists with planned activities.
Responsibilities…
To the students:
Assist Site Coordinator in providing adequate supervision of students including maintain sight of your entire group at all times.
Assist Specialists in implementing planned activities in a way that keeps students interested and provides them with the opportunity to make choices.
Supervise, interact and engage with groups of students participating in program activities and use Positive Guidance Techniques to promote desired behaviors and minimize behavior problems.
Listen to students and show sensitivity to their needs.
To other staff:
Develop and maintain a good working relationship with After School Program Staff, Site Coordinator as well as Public School Host Site Personnel.
Seek aid as needed from Site Coordinator regarding difficulties with students, parents, other After School Program staff, policies or procedures.
Display an attitude of cooperation and a strong ability to work in a team.
Accept criticism and supervision from the Site Coordinator in a professional manner.
To the program:
Comply with Policies and Procedures.
Facilitate program activities by setting up needed equipment and supplies, cleaning and locking doors when activities are completed.
Assure that the Program Site is left clean, neat and orderly on a daily basis.
Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality.
Perform other duties assigned by the Site coordinator.
To the families:
Provide a welcoming environment for families.
Treat all families with respect.
Facilitate smooth transition from summer program to home.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $9.00 - $11.00 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person
