Maryknoll and Sunset Support Staff

JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction and supervision of the Special Facilities Manager and/or Maryknoll Assistant Manager, or Pool Managers, the Maryknoll & Sunset Support Staff are primarily responsible for providing quality customer service while performing a variety of job duties for either the mini golf course, splash pad, or outdoor pool facility. Duties include but are not limited to: greeting guests, checking reservations and processing cash and/or credit card transactions, following proper cash handling protocols, taking daily admissions, preparing and serving food, stocking and taking inventory of food products and supplies, assisting with facility opening and closing procedures, cleaning and monitoring equipment, and keeping areas (including restrooms) clean and well maintained. This is an at-will position.
Season Dates: April 25 – October 30
Orientation Dates: Starting in Mid-May with details to follow.
Hours: Weekday and weekend shifts: 9:30am-3pm, 3pm-10:30pm

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Strong voice, phone, and listening skill with the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds (i.e. machinery or other alarms, equipment malfunction, phone or other communication device, etc.) Moderate exposure to noise from patrons, staff or equipment operation in adjacent areas.
- Capacity to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, move, or carry 30 pounds or more while performing training, moving equipment, and/or supplies.
- Moderate exposure to chemicals such as cleaning solvents, grease, fumes, airborne particles, etc.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
- The ideal candidate will be friendly, dependable, and reliable with a desire to serve the public and keep them safe.
- Good general math skills with attention to detail and ability to focus for extended periods of time is important.
- Previous customer service experience is preferred with cash handling a plus.
- Must be 15 or older with reliable transportation to and from work.
- Strong and effective communication skills with the capacity and desire to provide quality customer service is essential.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Manual dexterity to perform duties with the ability to be on your feet for extended periods of time.
- Able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays with availability Memorial Day through Labor Day.
- Candidates who are under the age of 16 will be required to provide a Workers Permit prior to starting work.
PLEASE NOTE: Expectation is that you will be available for the entire season with a limit of one week of absence for a scheduled family vacation or similar that should be discussed at time of hire. Various shift options are available and can be discussed during the interview process.
