Hours of Operation
Peak Season:
- Monday- Thursday 9am-5pm (May-October)
- Friday- Sunday 9am-9pm (May-October)
Base Season:
- Monday-Sunday 9am-5pm (November-April)

Position Summary:
The F&B Supervisor will be operationally responsible for all F&B Outlets up to and including Ivy Kitchen (FOH), GOCO Cafe, Poolside Service, Wine Bar, Lounge 1860, Chill Zone and Cabanas.
Results Expected:
The F&B Supervisor will be expected to ensure Guest Service and Guest Satisfaction is a priority to the team. All F&B Outlets must be closed to open. All Outlets must be clean, organized and run smoothly through out hours of operation.
Vital Factors:
Guest Satisfaction Rate with a goal of 90% on secret shopper report. Labor must be in line with revenues.

Education/Training:
Hotel/Food and Beverage experience appreciated, high school diploma
Experience:
This individual must have a progressive and successful guest service experience. Must have adequate knowledge of federal, state and local laws regarding food handling and preparation, moderate knowledge of food and beverage products, vendors, proper preparation and presentation of food and beverage items. Candidate must possess excellent interpersonal and sales related skills as well as organizational and supervisory skills. Some experience in restaurant, bar, banquet, stewarding, kitchen, sales, catering required.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interviewing, Hiring and Training.
- Scheduling and managing employees.
- Resolving customer complaints.
- Making sure the business complies with health and food safety regulations.
- Ability to make food & beverage suggestions and recommendations.
- Watching labor cost and cutting where required pending on business demand.
- Responsible for maintaining guest safety in all F&B Outlets, ensuring professional and consistent adherence to GIHSS standards.
- Communicate with the Back of House (BOH) for all menu items, daily specials and menu changes and communicate changes to staff.
- Ensure a high quality guest experience.
- Ensure proper cleanup of F&B trays, equipment, plates and cups.
- Ensure proper cash handling.
- Uphold restaurant standards.
- Adhere to all kitchen standard operating procedures outlined in The Glen Ivy Way.
- Assist in the review of FOH TGIW documents.
- Ensure the highest safety, health and sanitation standards in accordance with OSHA, County of Riverside Health Department and Glen Ivy Hot Springs standards.
- Promote positive staff morale.
- Open and close FOH F&B Outlet areas as needed.
- Assist in meeting the goal of 90% on the guest survey scores for Exceeding Guest Expectations.
- Interact with guests to maintain quality of service. Determine guest’s needs, expectations and satisfaction to resolve conflicts and complaints as they arise.
- Hosts create a good first impression of all F&B Outlets by warmly welcoming guests.
- Courteously direct guests while controlling guest flow into the restaurant.
- Take and serve food and beverage orders to guests
- Keep areas stocked, clean and presentable
- Bus tables as needed
- Greet guests upon entrance
- Maintain the cleanliness and physical appearance of the Cafe areas.
- Receive and record cash and charge payments.
- Take and serve food and beverage orders to guests.
- Responsible for completing opening or closing procedures for the position.
- Answer all radio calls from pool servers assigned to their station.
- Pour beer and wine beverages for service
- Monitor beverage and snack item pars to maintain appropriate amounts for service

- Identify prices of goods, services or admissions, and tabulate bills using POS system.
- Perform and work directly with a high volume of guests.
- Familiarize themselves with spa services, treatments and spa products to promote cross selling.
- Work as a member of the team.
- Up-sell products as the opportunity arise.
- Prepares fruit garnishes for beverages.
- Sweep, vacuum and mop as necessary.
- Collect used trays, dishes and towels.
- Maintain clean work areas, utensils, and equipment.
- Give suggestions to the F&B Manager on how to improve Outlets.
- Assist co-workers as needed.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Complete side work duties for FOH and best utilize time.
- Assist at the cashier stations during peak periods.
- Work as a member of the team in any capacity needed to meet guest satisfaction i.e. busser, cashier, etc.
- Clean as you go.
- Communicate any housekeeping items that need to be addressed.
- Attend daily pre-shift meetings.
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
- Coordinate with all related departments regarding food and beverage purchases, production, service, storerooms, ware washing, sanitation and maintenance of equipment.
- Ensures timely and accurate delivery of food items with a longer cooking time to the guest’s tables.
- Place food on plates or trays according to instructions.
- Empty trash cans as needed.
- Stock paper products and utensils.
- Deliver ice, paper goods, utensils, cups and lids, and food & beverage product from storage areas to business outlets as required for the day’s business.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work place.
- Stocks beverage and packaged snacks as needed.
- Ensure an appropriate amount of utensils and trays are stocked for use.
