Duties
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table settings and decorations.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness throughout the event.
- Ensure adherence to food safety and handling standards at all times.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and event coordinators to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Break down banquet setups after events, including cleaning and returning equipment to storage.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items and specials to effectively assist guests.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
- A culinary background or experience in restaurant settings is a plus.
