What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator - Specialty Fiber position at Glen Raven Material Solutions LLC?
Glen Raven is recruiting for a Specialty Fiber Operator which is responsible for operating an acrylic fiber unit consisting of several different machines. The purpose of this process is to produce a high quality roving product for use in spinning. The roving product is an intermediate state between silver and yarn. Roving is a condensed silver that has been drafted, twisted, doubled and redoubled.
**This is a 8 hour, night shift job**

Responsibilities:
- Run and maintain multiple textile machines including: Bale Plucker, Carding, Drawer/Breaker/Finisher, Roving Frame and UTIT
- Maintain exceptional housekeeping due to risk of contamination
- Must be able to distinguish colors
- Must be able to read, write and follow instructions
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull buggies
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Have ability to work alone or with a team as needed
- Wear appropriate PPE
- You will be working in close proximity to moving equipment
- Must have ability to multi-task
- Follow all safety work practices and company policies - SAFETY FIRST
Experience and Education:
- Previous experience in a textile manufacture preferred
- High School Diploma Preferred
