Glen Raven is recruiting for an Assistant Corporate Controller which is primarily responsible for regulatory reporting, technical accounting, and accounting policy and control. The Assistant Controller will help manage the operations of the accounting department, to include the timely and accurate production of financial and regulatory reporting, as well as the maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and comprehensive and effective internal controls.

Responsibilities:
- Assist the Corporate Controller in the fulfillment of financial and accounting responsibilities.
- Process financial transactions for general ledger posting including account analysis.
- Prepare regulatory filings with external agencies specifically related to the company’s benefit plans.
- Prepare other regulatory financial filings with external agencies as needed.
- Support lease reporting responsibilities including analysis and reconciliation.
- Assist with the monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal reporting process.
- Assist with the annual corporate budgeting and business plan reporting process.
- Assist with the preparation of audit workpapers and the interaction with external auditors.
- Work closely with shared services including assistance with individual responsibilities and training.
- Assist with projects, analyses, and meetings.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent education and related training
- CPA license required.
- 7-10 years of accounting experience, preferably in both public accounting and equivalent experience in a similar role in business and industry.
- Experience with Hyperion, Oracle and Visual Lease preferred.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with international teams in a global environment.
- Experience with intercompany transactions, eliminations, and consolidations.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills, specifically Advanced Excel experience using pivot tables and other functions to manage and report data.
- Ability to think creatively, work independently and corporately, to solve problems quickly.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic with diligence in a deadline driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Intellectually curious and results driven.
- Ability to query and organize from multiple sources and platforms, required.
