Glen Raven Marketing is recruiting for a Social Media Manager which will be a 1099 contract role. The Sunbrella brand is seeking a Social Media Manager - Contract to accelerate the brand's social media presence. This role will play an integral part in bringing our digital and brand content strategies to life by leading and executing the brand's social media strategy to grow our social audience and engagement. A successful candidate will bring strong strategic-thinking, creative, and analytic skills to drive progress on social media.

  • This role is a hybrid role with our Corporate office being in Burlington, NC

Responsibilities :

  • Build and evolve the brand's social media presence by leading social media strategy and content planning for all social channels.
  • Develop and curate engaging content that is on-brand and channel-specific. This role will be responsible for creating imagery, video, and written content for social use and should be able to generate short videos, graphics, etc. for social use. Must be able to create content and collaborate with other creators.
  • Analyze organic and paid social media results and provide recommendations for optimizations and benchmarking.
  • Execute, measure, and optimize brand paid social campaigns.
  • Lead community management initiatives on social media.
  • Lead influencer marketing initiatives by executing influencer curation, outreach, and project coordination.
  • Manage the social media calendar and collaborate with digital team on brand digital content planning.
  • Lead coordination across business units of partner content integration into digital calendar.
  • Stay abreast of digital and social media trends and bring new ideas to the team.
  • Education and Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, journalism, or related field, or equivalent education and related training.
  • 5 years of experience managing social media for a brand
  • Experience developing social media strategies for a brand
  • Proficient on social media platforms and social media management tools, like Sprout Social
  • Experience creating high-quality digital content
  • Experience analyzing social media metrics and results to optimize performance
  • Experience running paid social media campaigns
  • Strong strategic-thinking and analytic skills
  • A gifted storyteller that can bring a brand to life through social media
  • Has an eye for aesthetically pleasing content and can produce high-quality deliverables
  • Ability to write short and long-form content for a variety of social platforms
  • Knowledge of photoshop to process imagery for digital use
  • Light video editing skills to create short-form social videos
  • Highly organized, able to manage content across multiple platforms simultaneously
  • Strong time management skills, with experience successfully managing many projects simultaneously
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven ability to collaborate across multiple levels of an organization and with external partners
