POSITION TITLE: High School Teacher/Coach- Composite SS- Government & Economics
Coaching: Varsity Defensive Assistant (Possible ST Coordinator)
LOCATION: Glen Rose High School
SALARY RANGE: According to District Salary Schedule Plus Stipends and Extra Days
LENGTH OF WORK YEAR: 10.5 months
POSITION SUMMARY: Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Varsity defensive assistant coach (possibly special teams coordinator) and 2nd sport. Secondary coach preferred. All duties and responsibilities as assigned by the AD/Head Coach and defensive coordinator. Must have, or willing to get CDL. Looking for an enthusiastic, hard worker that is always willing to learn.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements for subject and level
Coaching experience preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Knowledge of subject assigned- Composite SS- Government & Economics
General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures
Knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules
Ability to instruct and supervise student athletes
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
