June 9th - July 17, 2025 Monday - Thursday (Staff hours 8 : 00 - 11 : 30). No school on June 19th and July 3rd.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have a current, valid Illinois Educator License with an endorsement in Special Education (LBS1).
- Knowledge of best practices as it relates to supporting (all) students' ability to learn
- Strong communications skills (both oral and written)
- Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media in the instructional program.
- Has a clear understanding of school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Teachers are charged with ensuring that Extended School Year is an authentic learning experience that adheres to curriculum standards established by Glenbard while using instructional techniques based on students' individual IEP goals. Staff will develop detailed lesson plans; instruct students; maintain attendance and classroom control; assess & document progress on IEP goals; and foster a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
The physical demands are within the industry norm. While performing the job, the employee may be required to sit, stand, walk, lift, talk, see and / or hear, as well as to be able to operate duplicating machines and computer equipment.
