Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Summer Intern in Salmon, Idaho. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a closed site for sixteen (16) weeks, gaining hands-on experience in the mining industry.

About the Role
The intern will be based in the township of Salmon and will work on a variety of tasks, including:
- Assisting with the collection of water samples (surface water and groundwater)
- Learning and assisting with the operations of the Water Treatment Plant and its associated activities
- Cleaning and calibrating monitoring instruments pH, turbidity, conductivity probes
- Assisting with the maintenance of environmental database for the site
- Reviewing, gathering and entering data for routine reporting requirements
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of site related procedures and documents
- Assisting with preventative Maintenance system development as well as conducting some do the PM activities
- Assisting with projects as required (e.g. Revegetation, aquatic studies, building maintenance)
- Hosting new contractors around the site
- Assisting with health and safety documents, permits and Safe work activities
- Assisting with outdoor activities such as brushing of Dams, roadways, pipelines, and powerlines
Qualifications
- A valid driver's license
- Experience operating off-road vehicles such as ATVs will be considered an asset
- Willingness to learn and be part of a safe work Culture
- Engineering or Environmental schooling associated with but not limited to mining
