Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Under general supervision from the Facilities Manager, the Maintenance Supervisor performs a variety of duties with regard to the carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, air-conditioning and structural work on the Glencroft campus. The Maintenance Supervisor has a wide latitude for independent decisions and exercises discretionary judgment in the day-to-day Maintenance responsibilities. The Maintenance Supervisor will possess a genuine interest in and concern for geriatric, chronically ill and/or disabled persons. Must be able to fluently communicate in or to take or give direction or guidance in the English language.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Regular attendance is considered an essential function of this position and is necessary for the efficient operation of the business.
- Partners with Human Resources in completion of all administrative duties to include but not limited to; personnel action forms, annual evaluations, employee relation needs, incident reporting (employee and resident), interviewing, hiring, onboarding and training all maintenance staff members.
- Responsible to train and support all direct and indirect employees. Build effective business relationships within internal and external partners and vendors to meet the facility maintenance needs of Glencroft’s campus.
- Responsible for the provision of professional/constructive feedback to all direct and indirect employees.
- Responsible for keeping the Facilities Manager informed of all needs and/or issues.
Performs trade-level work such as but not limited to: structural repairs, replaces doors, screen doors, installs locks, repairs wall, roofs, windows and cabinets.
Performs trade-level work in the repair but not limited to: installation of plumbing, waste, electrical and boilers.
Assist in the development and administration of preventative maintenance procedures.
Responsible for being available for 24 hours emergency and call-out situations.
Establishes a professional working relationship with other staff members, contractors, vendors and residents.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Practices safe work habits in accordance with Glencroft and City/State Regulated Safety Policies and Procedures.
