What are the responsibilities and job description for the Emergency Medical Technology Adjunct Instructor position at Glendale Community College?
- Select and organize course material consistent with student learning outcomes, student level, program philosophy, and program unifying theme.
- Choose classroom teaching methodologies appropriate to student level and course content material.
- Monitor student attainment of student learning outcomes and the degree to which knowledge and skills have been attained and applied.
- Provide effective class and clinical student supervision and evaluate student progress in those environments.
- Promote an environment that is conducive to effective teaching, learning, and student learning outcomes.
- Maintain student and classroom records (e.g. attendance, census, grades).
- Advise and assist students in the attainment of their educational goals.
- Work collaboratively and effectively with other adjunct and division faculty, classified staff, community members, facility liaisons and student workers.
- Participate in staff development and continuing education activities which maintain currency and competency in the field of emergency medical technology and teaching.
- Seek involvement in student and community activities, campus governance and professional activities that promote the program's courses and curriculum.
