Job Summary:
The Tenant Associate is a nursing assistant who performs nursing procedures and resident care tasks as well as Universal Worker duties.

The Tenant Associate is a nursing assistant who performs nursing procedures and resident care tasks as well as Universal Worker duties.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- None
- Provides for resident personal hygiene and daily living. This may include aiding with baths, backrubs, shampoos, and shaves, and assisting residents with showers. Assists with meals, including serving and clean up. Assists with ambulation and transferring of residents as needed. Provides fresh water and nourishment between meals.
- Administers nonsterile dressings, surgical preps, ice packs, heat treatments, sitz and therapeutic baths. Assists residents with self-administration of medications.
- Performs I&Os; checks vital signs and weight; oversees sugar and acetone urine testing, specimen collection, and post-mortem care.
- Works effectively as a team member in the delivery of care and assists in the orientation of new employees. Maintains good working relations with nursing staff and other hospital employees through appropriate communication.
- Instills confidence in residents by maintaining a neat appearance and performing duties in a competent and caring manner. Reports observations of residents to the supervisor or nurse caring for the resident to ensure professional assessment.
- With specialized training and written approval, may perform additional and specialized tasks pertinent to the assigned area.
- Cleaning, laundry, minor maintenance, cooking, and baking duties apply daily.
- Shows dependability by being punctual; maintains consistent attendance.
- Excellent Customer Service skills.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
- Maintains a safe environment for residents, guests, and co-workers.
- High school graduate preferred.
- Successful completion of nursing assistant course or the equivalent.
- Previous hospital experience with acceptable references preferred.
- Must pass a pre-employment test for nursing assistant.
- Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Basic First Aid Certification
- Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds at times.
