What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nursing Internship position at Glendive Medical Center?
Glendive Medical Center offers a summer nursing internship program to eligible nursing students who are entering their final year or semester of their Nursing program. This is a paid nine (9) week internship providing an opportunity for students to gain experience, competency, and confidence as they move into their nursing careers post-graduation.
During this internship you will have the opportunity to job shadow Acute Care, Emergency Room, Behavioral Health, Transitional Care (skilled rehabilitation unit) and Extended Care (Long Term Care Facility). The intern will be paired with an RN preceptor during each rotation. The internship is a commitment of 36-40 hours per week. Schedules will vary with day, evening, overnight and rotating weekend shifts. There will also be opportunities for the individual to get extra hours while working as a CNA if the applicant has an interest.
Minimum education and work experience :
- Currently enrolled in a Nursing program and entering into your final year or semester of the nursing program.
- Current CNA license or eligible to apply for one with the MT Nurse Aide Registry
