Job Summary
We are looking for Per-Diem Patient Registration Representatives to join the Admitting team at Glendora. The Registration Representative II will conduct patient/guarantor interviews, explain consent forms that require patient signature, and handle all routine patient inquiries related to the registration process.
Schedule can be from 9am-5pm, 11am-7:30pm, and or 3pm-12am depending on staffing needs; weekends and evenings as needed.
Job Specific Duties
- Conducts patient/guarantor interviews
- Explains consent forms that require patient/guarantor signature, patient rights and financial processes and responsibilities.
- Handles all routine patient inquiries related to the registration process.
- Insures all necessary demographic and financial data is obtained and accurately entered into the registration screen in Cerner.
- Identifies appropriate payer source for accurate and timely reimbursement for services provided.
- Ensures that all pre-certification and/or authorization are obtained to meet individual payer payments authorization requirements.
- Advanced understanding of health Insurances which includes, Managed Care, Medi-Cal, Medicare and third-party payers.
- Must have at least 5 years of Admitting or equivalent experience.
Placement in the pay range is based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, relevant years of experience and qualifications. In addition to base pay, there may be additional compensation available for CHLB/Glendora Hospital roles, including but not limited to shift differential and other special pay practices, etc. The posted compensation for the position is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay that CHLB/Glendora Hospital in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
