Compensation Range: $130,000 – $180,000. This position provides full benefits including health insurances, retirement and leave.

Essential Functions
- Lead all aspects of fundraising initiatives, including annual giving, planned giving, major gifts, capital campaigns, and special events.
- Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward relationships with current and prospective donors.
- Formulate and execute a comprehensive plan with the Head of School and Board of Trustees to define fundraising priorities and to achieve and plan for financial goals.
- Serve as a key leader for Glenelg Country School, building relationships with internal and external constituents.
- Oversee strategic Advancement marketing campaigns and digital engagement to reach prospective donors and families.
- Collaborate with the Parents & Friends Association to create programming, events, and communications.
- Oversee the development and marketing staff.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in an independent educational setting is desired.
- Demonstrated effectiveness as a leader in all areas of advancement.
- Ability to assess advancement issues in the big picture, anticipating opportunities and challenges.
- Prefer ten years of experience or more.
- Excellent communication skills (including interpersonal, verbal and written).
- Skills with attention to detail, organization, planning, and meeting deadlines are highly necessary.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team.
- Must have solid judgment, discretion, and sensitivity working with donors and families.
- Prior experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge is helpful.
