Position Summary
Glenelg Country School seeks enthusiastic, creative, and qualified candidates to work part-time in our Extended Day afterschool program.
Salary Range: $15 – $29 per hour
Overview Of Essential Functions
Preference is given to those with experience in working with children or who are working toward training or a degree in the field of childcare, child development, and education. Candidates must be available at least three days per week, at least 19 years old, must have 45 hours Child Growth and Development and 45-hour School-Aged Child Care Certification. Total 90 hours.
Administration
All prospective employees must be able to clear background checks, as required by the State of Maryland.

- It is the expectation that the Extended Day teachers will thoughtfully engage with children, ages 4 to 13, each afternoon.
- Teachers are responsible for supervising students, planning activities, and participating through care, interaction, activities, games, and projects.
- The hours are from 3:00 pm-6:00 pm Monday through Friday when school is in session.
