Pruning/Mulch Technician
Pay Rate: $19 - $21 / hour
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Glengate is hiring a Pruning/Mulch Technician to be responsible for maintaining a variety of landscape structures. Must have a strong knowledge of perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs and woody ornamentals with some past experience in installation and maintenance of plant material. Possess a strong knowledge of industry standards for floral care and landscape maintenance.

Pruning/Mulch Technician
Pay Rate: $19 - $21 / hour

Glengate is hiring a Pruning/Mulch Technician to be responsible for maintaining a variety of landscape structures. Must have a strong knowledge of perennials, annuals, vegetables, herbs and woody ornamentals with some past experience in installation and maintenance of plant material. Possess a strong knowledge of industry standards for floral care and landscape maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Provide tree/shrub care services including pruning, trimming, and removal.
- Apply mulch as directed
- Complete work orders, timesheets, and receipts for pruning/mulch jobs on a daily basis.
- Maintain a clean and orderly yard. Ensure that all equipment, trucks, tools, and materials are returned and stored in the proper location and secured/locked.
- At least 1 year of proven work experience as a Landscaper or similar role. Experienced in horticulturally correct pruning techniques strongly preferred
- Mulch: Knowledge of basic mulching technique.
- Pruning Techniques: Knowledge of basic pruning methods. Follows instructions from Crew Leader.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must have a valid drivers license and a reliable means of transportation
- Must be self-motivated and team oriented and able to perform independently without direct supervision to complete team goals.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong in annual and perennial plant identification and proper gardening practices - staking, pinching back, deadheading, etc.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to oversee several projects at a time
- Minimum- can understand, give and receive basic information (single words spoken, sentence comprehension) in English and Spanish with crew, Crew Leader, and Manager.
