What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeping/Laundry Aide position at Glenhaven, Inc.?
HOUSEKEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Understand procedures for cleaning and sanitation to prevent infections, and adheres to at all times.
2. Understands use of disinfectants—cleaning supplies.
3. Understand use of equipment.
4. Adheres to policies/procedures of cleaning department and nursing home.
5. Avoids waste of time and materials.
6. Will do other duties as assigned.
7. Attend inservice meetings as assigned.
8. Keep work area as neat and clean as possible.
9. Keeps resident rooms, bathrooms, halls and home clean, sanitized free from odors and hazards.
LAUNDRY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Understand procedure of washing.
2. Understand operation of automatic washer and dryers.
3. Understand use of washing powders, bleaches, softeners.
4. Knows the effect of substances on linen.
a. How to take out stains (grease, blood, etc.)
5. Avoids waste of time and materials.
6. Will do other duties as assigned.
7. Attend inservice meetings.
8. Keep residents and facility supplied with adequate supply of clean linen.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
