This position will operate in a hybrid work environment, 3 days per week in the office (Philadelphia, PA) and support Glenmede’s Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer.
OVERVIEW:
The primary function of the Strategy Manager is to oversee and coordinate key initiatives to expand Glenmede’s inorganic growth opportunities. This position is expected to last for 18-24 months, depending on activity.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead market and competitive research projects to further shape the organization’s approach to inorganic growth.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and valuation modeling to support opportunity decision-making and prepare indications-of-interest as necessary.
- Perform market research to identify potential acquisition partners.
- Coordinate a networking/outreach plan to speak with investment bankers, banking partners, and leadership at organizations that could be viable partners.
- Manage a due diligence process to organize initiatives to assess acquisition opportunities.
- Manage the pitchbook for relevant content and rework based on audience.
- Facilitate discussions with leadership and the Board of Directors around inorganic growth strategies and related business initiatives.
- Ability to travel as necessary (10-20%).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five to seven years of experience in financial services with a focus on wealth and investment management.
- Excellent financial modeling and valuation skills.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Understanding of M&A processes including deal sourcing/structuring, due diligence, and execution.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with ability to organize others team members’ schedules and priorities/tasks.
- Consistently meet deadlines, with ability to multi-task.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization and externally.
- Excellent problem-solving skills including the ability to balance multiple projects at one time and properly prioritize workload.
- Ability to work both independently and within the team, while collaborating with professionals across the organization as needed.
- Full understanding of privacy and confidentiality.
