Building Maintenance Tech

This is a part-time, flexible days/afternoon position. Shifts varies. However, depending upon events, sometimes days shifts are required, Rotating day & nights on weekends. If the weekend is worked, two days during the week will be scheduled off.

Scope of Responsibilities:

• To maintain the aesthetics of the clubhouse, it’s fixtures and it’s contents and assist in the duties of other maintenance employees.

Principal Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

• Meet with director daily to receive daily work orders and details pertaining to their prompt completion.
• Maintain a daily work log detailing the days work.
• Complete only work orders assigned by Building Maintenance staff. All other requests may be collected in writing only and turned into Director or Supervisor.
• Assist other maintenance staff as needed.
• Must maintain all tools and equipment as if their own. Clean up and return things to their proper place.
• Maintain a safe and organized work area (especially in member areas).
• Keep supervisor informed of inventory changes and demands.
• Position may require light to moderate preventive maintenance on large equipment. I.e. Boilers, heat pumps, kitchen equipment (includes documentation).
• Some light construction knowledge and electrical knowledge is required.
• The ability to “troubleshoot” and “think on your feet.”

Performance Standards:

• Execution of the above listed duties and additional duties as deemed necessary, professionally, in a timely manner and with critical thinking.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to access all areas of clubhouse.
• Position requires some heavy lifting (but mostly light to moderate), stooping, use of ladders, use of both hand and power tools.

Environmental Conditions:

• Some hazardous conditions exist in regards to the use of hand and power tools. Work may involve exposure to unpleasant working conditions or undesirable element, (i.e. smelly drains, toilets, attitudes, electricity, etc.)

Working Conditions:

• Hourly with both weekday and weekend hours. Adaptation to events is likely.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
