What are the responsibilities and job description for the Speech & Language Pathologist position at Glenn County Office Of Education?
Responsibilities:
Evaluate and identify students in need of speech/language
therapy services.
Develop IEP’s for students requiring speech/language
services.
Implement and monitor IEP’s.
Provide supportive consultation and collaboration for
teachers with students requiring speech/language services
in their classes or programs.
Confer with parents and school personnel regarding the
provision of speech/language services.
Maintain daily and appropriate records for each student
receiving speech/language services.
Attend department, county, and district meetings as
required.
Establish and maintain positive professional relationships
with other professional staff.
Maintain professional competence through participation
during in-service educational activities provided, as well as
other professional growth activities.
Report any factors that prevent full exercise of duties and
responsibilities.
Perform other duties normally required to be performed by
certificated staff as adjunct to the regular assignment. Qualifications:
A Master of Arts Degree from an accredited college or
university in Speech-Language Pathology
Valid California Credential authorizing Speech-Language
Pathology services.
Valid California driver’s license and evidence of insurance
coverage (mileage reimbursable)
Experience working with toddlers, preschool, elementary,
junior high school and/or high school age students
preferred.
Salary : $432 - $613
