Sessions and Sons is a contractor based in Walden, CO that has a respected name in our area for providing quality work with integrity. We are a family-owned company that has been in business since 1949. This is position requires travel from various job sites throughout the Midwest.
What do you need to start?
To be hired as an operator, you must have relevant experience in the operation of excavators, dozers, backhoes, loaders, telehandlers, skidsteers, as much more. This position will require a Class A CDL, but we are willing to work with you on acquiring one if you don't currently have it. Beyond operation, you must be diligent at maintaining all of the company equipment. Beyond these items, we are looking for individuals with the following characteristics:

What will you be expected to do?
- Ensuring routine maintenance, service, and repair is being performed on the equipment when needed – you may be expected to perform some of this work yourself which includes daily greasing, track cleaning, checking fluids, checking filters, and thorough cleaning
- Operating multiple pieces of equipment ranging from excavators, dozers, backhoes, etc
- Transporting equipment or materials to various locations and ensuring proper hauling techniques – CDL is necessary and we are willing to help you acquire it
- Assisting with or performing jobsite layout
- Directing small crews that are working alongside of you and your equipment
- Excavation within very close proximity to live utilities such as gas, electric, and water
- Interpreting blueprints and communicating with project supervision
- Performing and assisting in laborer related activities when needed
- Mentoring peers and prospective operators
