Job Summary :
Provide clerical support to Transportation staff. Provide customer service to both internal and external customers. This is a seasonal position and subject to layoff. This is an hourly, non exempt position that will work with direct and indirect supervision.
Essential Functions :
Answer telephone and interact pleasantly and professionally with both internal and external customers to schedule their material delivery needs.
Assist and support Dispatchers to provide accurate and timely information relative to delivery needs and scheduling.
Provide clerical support to and data entry for Transportation staff.
Refer requests for special pricing to the appropriate sales person.
Perform weighmaster duties as assigned.
Exercise proper care and maintenance of company equipment.
Frequently work more than 40 hours per week and non traditional hours including night shift, Saturdays and occasionally Sundays.
Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
Knowledge of :
State and Federal regulations regarding vehicle weights, rules of the road, and hours of service.
Local, state, and federal traffic laws.
GOH geographical territory.
Microsoft Office software.
Ability to :
Learn and follow GOH company policies and procedures.
