Rural Route Mail Carrier Contractor

Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Full Time Rural Mail Carrier contractor to join our team, starting March 1, 2025.

As a Rural Route Mail Carrier contractor, you will play a vital role in ensuring the timely delivery of mail and packages to our customers. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic and attention to detail. You will need your own 120 cubic ft 4wd vehicle, we will reimburse you for fuel; commercial liability insurance will be required: $100,000/$500,000/$100,000.

Schedule is as follows: 7:30 AM to 4:30P M or until completion. Monday - Saturday.

Duties:

- Safely operate a vehicle, such as a SUV or van, to transport mail and packages to various locations.
- Load and unload mail and packages from vehicles.
- Sort and organize mail and packages for delivery.
- Use your vehicle to navigate through various routes, traffic and weather conditions.
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, answering their questions, and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Perform occasional heavy lifting and bending to deliver mail and packages to customers' doorsteps.
- Operate a vehicle, navigating through busy streets and neighborhoods.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, meeting tight deadlines and managing multiple tasks simultaneously.

Skills:

- Strong driving skills, with the ability to operate a driving vehicle.
- Experience with heavy lifting and bending.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to load and unload packages from vehicles.
- Proficiency in operating a car, van or other vehicle.
- Experience working in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of courier services and package delivery.
- Familiarity with driving regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, withstanding the demands of the job.

Requirements:

Mail Delivery experience, One year.

Valid Drivers License.

Able to lift up to 70 lbs.

At least 18 years old.

Reside in the area.

Federal Background Check is required. Drug Screen. (Paid for by Glennie Enterprises, LLC) Clean MVR for the last 3 years.
